Crystallography Policy

Structure Service

  • Data collection and structure determinations are performed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • The user must complete the request form with the group advisor's signature and the grant number. Otherwise, the measurement will be postponed until they are done.
  • If you are preparing a highly unstable material, make arrangements ahead of time with the specialist.
  • When a structure is considered final and complete, all necessary data (.cif, .res, tables, Ortep, etc.) will be sent to the user who submitted the crystal.
  • The user is responsible for safekeeping your own released data.

Manuscript Preparation

  • If you need the specialist to complete the x-ray part in the manuscript and deposit the corresponding data (Crystallographic Information File, CIF), please contact the specialist.

Acknowledgment

  • Please thank Nebraska Center for Materials and Nanoscience, University of Nebraska-Lincoln for purchasing the diffractometer.
